1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the KodeBytes mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are a parent or guardian allowing a child to use the App, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your child.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
KodeBytes is an educational mobile application designed to teach children aged 7-13 programming concepts through interactive puzzle challenges. The App includes:
- • Free content: Access to Sequences and Loops concepts (20 challenges)
- • Premium content: Access to all 10 concepts and 100 challenges via subscription
- • Progress tracking and achievement system
3. Age Requirements
KodeBytes is intended for use by children aged 7-13 with parental consent. By allowing your child to use the App, you confirm that:
- • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
- • You consent to your child's use of the App
- • You have reviewed our Privacy Policy
4. Subscriptions & Payments
KodeBytes offers optional premium subscriptions:
- • Monthly subscription: £3.99 per month
- • Yearly subscription: £24.99 per year
- • Free trial: 1 week (for new subscribers)
Important subscription information:
- • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- • Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription
5. Family Sharing
KodeBytes Premium subscriptions support Apple Family Sharing. When enabled, up to six family members can share a single subscription. The family organiser is responsible for all family purchases.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and all its contents, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, code, and the overall design, are owned by KodeBytes and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its contents
- • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- • Use the App for any commercial purpose
- • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
7. User Conduct
You agree to use the App only for its intended educational purpose. You agree not to:
- • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems
- • Use the App in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
- • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KodeBytes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
